Neil and Eva Moles are back and talked about their month long trip out west.

Lake Library Photo Contest Judging is Tuesday July 30th 6-8PM. We will be providing judges again this year. Any members willing to be judges please contact Gary or simply show up on judging night and volunteer. Judges should arrive at 5:30 PM.

Gary gave a treasury report.

Open house is still in the works. We are looking at a weekend in October. Once decided a flyer or poster will be created and posted in the library.

Andrew proposed an idea to make email newsletters to easier to signup or unsubscribe to as people feel like it. It would also make it easy for members who wanted to manage help with the newsletter to do so. Creation of the email newsletter was proposed for vote and accepted.

Also Todd tossed out an idea of using Dropbox for sharing files for meeting nights or photo related subjects.

Weenie roast is set for 6:30 PM on Sept. 12th at the Moles’ residence. Directions will be sent out.

Next meeting is on Aug. 8th. After the next meeting we will be going back to 2 meetings a month.

Clouds is the theme for the nights meeting. Neil shared photos of his trip out west.

Todd also mentioned he has interest in hosting a workshop dedicated to iPhone photography.

Neil showed off prints he made at the last film night meeting.

Todd suggested to take a trip to Springfield Bog Metropark. It is in full bloom and full of color. He has commonly seen birds like Indigo Buntings and Woodcocks.

Topic to shoot: Dusk or Dawn shots – discussion on techniques how to get good results.
